Originaire d’Edmundston, Pier-Luc Cimon est finissant au Baccalauréat en arts visuels avec une concentration en peinture et estampe. En 2024, il a été invité à créer une œuvre pour l’inauguration du Centre étudiant Mawiomi à l’Université de Moncton : un triptyque intitulé To the Sky and Back. Il a également participé à plusieurs expositions collectives à la Galerie Triangle de l’Université de Moncton et s’est activement impliqué dans la promotion de l'art et de la culture, notamment en tant que médiateur culturel lors d’événements comme La Ruée vers l’Art et en tant qu'artiste muraliste invité au Festival Inspire en 2022.
Parallèlement, Pier-Luc a pris part à un événement d’impression en direct organisé par l’atelier d’estampe Imago et la Galerie Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen dans le Parc Écologique de Millénaire. Il a aussi travaillé comme médiateur culturel au Centre des Arts d’Edmundston pendant l’été 2022. Son art va au-delà des matériaux pour capturer des moments de réflexion intime, illuminant l’esprit à travers ses créations. Avec un style imprégné d'une expression pure, Pier-Luc exploite divers médiums pour créer des ambiances saisissantes, offrant ainsi une invitation à une exploration personnelle et émotionnelle à travers ses œuvres.
Originally from Edmundston, Pier-Luc Cimon is a graduate of the Baccalauréat en arts visuels
with a concentration in painting and printmaking. In 2024, he was invited to create a work
for the inauguration of the Mawiomi Student Center at the Université de Moncton: a
triptych entitled To the Sky and Back. He has also participated in several group exhibitions
at the Galerie Triangle de l'Université de Moncton, and has been actively
involved in promoting art and culture, notably as a mediator
culturel at events such as La Ruée vers l'Art, and as a muralist
invited to the Inspire Festival in 2022.
At the same time, Pier-Luc took part in a live printing event organized by
l'atelier d'estampe Imago and Galerie Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen in Millénaire's Parc
Écologique. He also worked as a cultural mediator at the Centre des
Arts d'Edmundston during the summer of 2022. His art goes beyond materials to capture
moments of intimate reflection, illuminating the spirit through his creations. With a
style infused with pure expression, Pier-Luc exploits a variety of mediums to create striking
ambiances, offering an invitation to personal and
emotional exploration through his works.
